The hospitality and fuzzy feeling you receive at Greystone Manor is unmatched to even a star-rated hotel. The hosts have done a fantastic job on renovating an age-old home into beautifully interior decorated B&B. What’s more is that the breakfast is absolutely divine! I thought Niagara Falls would leave an impression on me, but instead the hospitality and warmth of the hospitality was something I will always remember from my visit to the Falls. They were kind enough to share the recipe ‘Canadian Stuffed French Toast’ that I simply fell in love with!

Ingredients:
Unsliced bread 1 loaf
Strawberry flavoured cream cheese
Strawberry preserves or spread
Eggs 6
Heavy cream 3/4 cup
Sugar 1/4 cup
Method:
Remove the crusts at either end of the loaf of bread. Slice the loaf into 8 even slices. Cut each of the slices in half diagonally. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice a pocket into each of the 16 pieces of bread.
Spread approximately 20ml of cream cheese onto one side of the inside pocket. Spread approximately 15ml of strawberry preserves on the opposite inside pocket of bread. Continue "stuffing" each piece of bread and set aside when done.
In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, cream and sugar. Mix well.
Dip each of the pieces of stuffed bread into the egg mixture, ensuring each side is coated. Please on a hot buttered griddle and cook until golden brown on each side.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
